Public speaking has always been a fear of mine and many
others are in the same situation I was in. I always scared to go up and speak
in front of people because of my speech impediment. From when I was born to
about the age of two, I had no hearing. When I finally gained the ability to hear,
the muscles in mouth developed incorrectly from not talking and I was left with
a speech impediment. Unfortunately there are many people like me that have this
same fear of public speaking and this is becoming all too common. What I have learned
though that if you let this fear eat at you, it is going to affect other
aspects of your life like talking to new people. I’ve learned that colleges
like mine offer classes to help me get over my fear and that’s something that
most people need to do because it really can affect your life. My greatest advice
for someone that is in the same situation I was in, is to go out and join a
class to help you get over your fear.
